Overview

Job Summary:    
The Cook I is responsible for ensuring a safe, sanitary environment in the facility kitchen.  Ensures menus are posted and food is prepared in time for service of residents and food served in compliance with the Statement of Work.

Education and Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.  One year of experience working in a kitchen serving 25 people or more required.  Food handlers license is required.  Experience may be waived with approval from COO/CFO/Executive Director or Human Resources.  Must have good communication skills and be able to articulate professionally, verbally and in writing.  Must complete annual training required by contract.  Available to work any shift any time any schedule.  Must have a valid driver’s license and social security card issued by the U.S. Social Security Administration, and be a United States citizen, permanent resident, or other person lawfully admitted into the United States.  Must pass federal background check and physical examination.
