Position Summary:
The Delivery Manager is accountable for the timely and effective planning, development, and execution of all CDL and Non-CDL delivery activities, development of staff, safety, and security at Hensley and designated accounts.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Evaluate job performance and provide feedback for all employees on team
- Create a collaborative and positive environment with direct and indirect teams (delivery, merchandising, warehouse, routing, sales and executives)
- Maintain a good working relationship with accounts, ensuring they are properly serviced to Hensley standards
- Responsible for safety of team, as well all government compliance such as, but not limited to, DOT regulation, FMCSA as well as Fair Wage and Labor Laws
- Improve efficiencies, by managing current process, analyzing data and trends and developing innovative solutions.
- Responsible for equipment; inspections of physical assets, proper use and preventative maintenance
- Use outstanding judgement for interpersonal issues, communication of problems and actions to continuously improve Hensley’s business
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years of successful Sales, Operations or Customer Service Management experience
- At least 3 years managing and developing others.
- Capable of using and learning WMS, RAS, GPS, HR systems as well Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook). Track and monitor metrics to ensure productive and accurate environment
- Knowledge of and demonstrated capability to lead strategic direction, recognize and resolve key business issues, and provide clear and concise direction that is consistent with company goals and initiatives
- Internal candidates: Segment Manager experience or better with demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers across the organization (Sales, Brand Management, Operations, & Marketing)
- External candidates: This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
