Overview

The primary function of this position is to provide customer service and support for our guests enjoying our outdoor pool.

Scope of Work:

The key function of this position is to provide excellent customer service to hotel guests, having strong knowledge of menu items and delivering food timely, and picking up dirty dishes promptly.  This position delivers meals from kitchen to the pool area. The pool attendant is also responsible for keeping the pool area free of clutter and trash; notifying maintenance of issues with the water/filtration, etc; and keeping towels available. Due to the 24/7 nature of our business, weekend and holiday work may be required.  There will be opportunities to cross train in other areas of Food and Beverage Department. Only servers ages 18 and older may serve alcohol.

 

Job Responsibilities:


Answer phone within three rings.
Take order.
Verify order for accuracy by reading order back to guest, using guests name.
Provide an accurate delivery time to guests.
Work with Bar staff if alcohol is included in order.
Follow Hotel procedures for announcing self, presenting the order and the check. Deliver order to guest promptly and efficiently.
Greet and serve guests adhering to Little America service standards.
Inquire if there are any special dietary restrictions that need to be adhered to.
Properly open and pour coffee, or wine as needed.
Immediately notify management if there is a guest that appears to be intoxicated or otherwise impaired.
Issue food receipts; accept payments; perform credit card transactions and accurately count back change to customer.
Return within 90 minutes of meal to retrieve soiled dishware.
Continually monitor pool area for trash, debris, etc that needs to be thrown away.

 

Physical Demands:

Work involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. This position requires standing up to six hours at a time and bending and stooping occasionally as merchandise is received, restocked or inventoried. Occasional exposure to outside elements.
