Manages the operational and instructional activities in a large laboratory teaching program, specifically BIO205L: Microbiology, and provides assistance with smaller upper-division laboratory courses. Ensures that all laboratory sections have an assigned qualified and trained instructor, that students are enrolled in the proper laboratory and that the laboratories operate according to departmental and national guidelines with respect to safety and pedagogy. Develops and recommends new experiments and demonstrations and instructs and supervises Teaching Assistants in procedures, policies and teaching techniques.
Master's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three years teaching experience which includes two years of supervisory experience; OR,
Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
