Job Description


 


The successful candidate will teach undergraduate elementary courses, supervise practicum, advise students, maintain a strong personal program of service, assist with accreditation efforts, attend and participate in departmental and college events, and participate in the development of field-based early childhood programs throughout the region and state. This is a clinical position. Course delivery formats include face-to-face, hybrid, and web-based instruction. 


 


 


Minimum Qualifications


 


Lecturer:


 


Master’s degree in Elementary Education/ Early Childhood or related field


Three years' teaching birth-age 4 or K-3


Assistant Clinical Professor:


 


Earned doctoral degree by Aug 2019 in Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field.


Three years' teaching birth-age 4 or K-3


 


Preferred Qualifications


 


Earned doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field.


Three - five years teaching K-8th grade or birth-age 4


Experience across the age groups birth-Grade 8 


Knowledge of best teaching practices/models for K-Grade 8 


Knowledge of best teaching practices/models for early childhood education B-4


Online teaching experience


Higher education experience related to preparing preservice teachers for birth-Grade 8 


Experience teaching adult learners


Experience working collaboratively with agencies, school districts, college faculty and adult learners


Demonstrated expertise through graduate course work and experience in all aspects of K-8th grade education


Experience working with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds


Evidence of a commitment to diversity.


Experience teaching in a diverse multi-cultural setting.
